Farnaz Akhavi
Dr. Akhavi's research focuses on the interaction between decision aids and human decision making. She earned her Industrial Engineering PhD from the University of Minnesota in 2006, an Industrial Engineering MS in 2003 from the University of Minnesota, and a Computer Information Systems MS in 2000 from the University of Detroit.

Caroline Hayes
Dr. Hayes is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Minnesota. Her research goals are to understand how to design effective systems for people and technology so we may live more harmoniously with our technological creations. She earned her PhD in 1990 in Robotics from Carnegie Mellon University.
